Ms. LaPlace is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School. While in law school, she worked as a law clerk in a firm representing municipalities throughout New York. Ms. LaPlace was also a summer intern for Honorable E. Thomas Boyle of the Eastern District of New York and a legal intern for the Federal Aviation Administration, Office of the Assistant Chief Counsel, Eastern Region. She is admitted to practice in New York State courts, Connecticut State courts and the Territorial Courts of the Virgin Islands of the United States. Ms. LaPlace is a member of the New York State Bar Association, and the Education Law and Labor Law Committees of the Nassau County Bar Association. As an associate for six years in a firm representing school districts, she has had extensive experience in the school law field before joining Guercio & Guercio. Ms. LaPlace joined the firm in September, 2003. She advises public school districts in general counsel and labor matters.
