On April 7, 2016, Partner Christopher Mestecky and Associate Ashley Pope participated as two of the judges in the Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School's 28th Annual Moot Court Competition. The tournament was co-sponsored by the Hofstra University School of Law.
There were approximately twelve high schools competing and judges. Each school brought teams of three students who competed in a trial that lasted approximately 50 minutes. There were four preliminary rounds. After the preliminary rounds, the teams with the best records advanced to the semi-final and final rounds of the tournament. Each case had a judging panel of three judges, with a greater number of judges for the later rounds.
