On August 11, 2014, the Governor signed Chapter 273 of the Laws of 2014 to allow for the use of lever voting machines by school districts through December 31, 2015. The new legislation takes effect immediately and as a result, school districts are permitted to continue using lever voting machines if they are available through December 31, 2015.
