We are pleased to welcome John Petrowski to the Firm as Of Counsel in our Long Island office in Farmingdale, New York.  His practice will focus on providing general counsel and labor counsel to school districts and municipalities in diverse areas of law, including municipal, education, labor, employment, civil rights, and contract.  Prior to joining the Firm, John was a Principal Assistant County Attorney with the Suffolk County Department of Law for fourteen years, where he advocated on behalf of the County and its agencies in matters involving contract disputes, employment and labor law issues, and municipal law.  He recently served as a Senior Litigation Associate at a negligence and labor law firm on Long Island.  John also previously served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary to Empire/Allcity Insurance Group, where he counselled the Board of Directors, CEO and other officers in diverse areas of law including corporate governance and best practices.  He is an experienced litigator who has handled cases involving contract disputes, employment, civil rights, civil service, municipal law and Article 78 petitions, labor law, negligence, and personal injury, and we look forward to his future at Guercio & Guercio.
